About Me - Sports

Just in case anyone is wondering, I do sports 7 days a week, for at least an hour a day. The workouts are intense. I do this not because I'm such a huge fan, but because otherwise I feel bad, though I won't go into the reasons why. (I mention them from time to time both here and in real life.)

Sometimes the days swap around, but usually the routine goes like this.

Monday Pool, 62 laps currently (25 meters is 1 lap). Every visit increases the count by 2, so next time it'll be 64. 0:45
Tuesday Gym. Elliptical machine at resistance 6-16 (I alternate) for an hour. Then lots of ab exercises, a few leg exercises (I had a torn ligament, if you remember) and barbell squats. If I have time, I do a thorough stretch on the cage before all this. 2:30
Wednesday Yoga, aerobics, and strength training on the Wii console, using Wii Fit and the Balance Board. You shouldn't be skeptical — try doing them yourself, and you'll see how hard it actually is. I'm also gradually increasing the number of exercises. 1:20
Thursday Pool, same as Tuesday.
Friday Bicycle, speed of at least 30 km/h for an hour, covering 30 km respectively. I'll be increasing the time by 2 minutes per session. I often bike on other days too if I don't have time to go to the gym/pool or work out with the Wii. 1:00
Saturday Gym, sometimes the downtown pool with a sauna and a Turkish bath, for relaxation and rest.
Sunday Wii Fit

Every weekday after lunch I take a walk in the woods. In the evening, after 10:00 PM, I watch anime, and during that time I stretch my right leg, where the ligament was torn.

Despite this kind of workload, I'm not all that athletic and healthy, but rather the complete opposite. I only recently started working out in this routine; before that, there were fewer reps and not every day, and even earlier I was a complete couch potato.

I only skip working out if I'm out of my hometown or sick. I'll try to fix the first one by learning to do the Wii Fit exercises and yoga without instructions. As for illnesses, I hope there won't be any in the summer (there weren't any last summer).

I plan to stick to this routine until my weight hits 80 kg, after which I'll reduce the time of each session (but not the frequency, type of exercises, or intensity).  Overall, I think I'll be doing sports like this for the rest of my life. I might mix up the types so I don't get bored: I'll go to yoga, stretching, or aerobics classes at the gym, maybe aqua aerobics, Pilates, or something else, thankfully even in our town there is a choice.

Naturally, I have almost no free time on weekdays, because I sleep for at least 8 hours, though I aim for 8:30. Right now, when riding a bike is dangerous, getting to work or the gym takes a lot of time. Luckily, my colleagues who are going my way always give me a ride, for which I owe them a big thanks.

I will write about my diet separately.
